Craster is a working fishing village on the Northumberland coast. The famous Craster smokehouse is right in the village and their kippers are well worth trying. Dunstanburgh Castle ruins are just one mile away on foot along the coastal path. Over 30 miles of golden sand beaches are within easy reach.

The cottage sleeps six across three bedrooms. The first-floor king-size room has harbour views, a fireplace and a TV/DVD. The first-floor twin has two metal-framed single beds. The second-floor super-king sits under the eaves with harbour and village views. Two bathrooms serve the cottage: a downstairs shower room and a first-floor family bathroom with bath and shower.
Dunstanburgh Castle (1 mile, 5 mins drive) and Embleton Bay (1.5 miles, 5 mins) are the standout local attractions. Alnwick Castle and Garden (8 miles, 15 mins) and Bamburgh Castle (17 miles, 30 mins) are both well worth a day out.
The cottage suits families or groups of friends who want a proper coastal base. The wood burner, Apple TV and sumptuous seating make evenings in just as good as days out. Book it for the location alone.
