Is Bush Nook House Right For You?

Discover why this cottage is ideal for different types of visitors

For Families
Bush Nook House offers plenty for families with children. The game room provides indoor entertainment while the enclosed garden has space to play. Travel cots and highchairs are available on request. Nearby Talkin Tarn Country Park offers outdoor activities and the Roman sites make history engaging. Children must be supervised around the small shallow pond in the garden.
For Couples
While Bush Nook House sleeps 15 guests, couples seeking a romantic retreat might find this property too large. The farmhouse is designed for extended families and large groups rather than intimate getaways. The hot tub and log burner create atmosphere but the nine bedrooms and communal spaces suit group bookings better than couples' breaks.
Pet Friendly
Bush Nook House welcomes two well-behaved dogs. The enclosed garden with wall and fence provides safe outdoor space for pets. Dogs must stay off furniture and beds and remain within the garden boundaries. Neighbouring fields contain livestock so dogs cannot access these areas. The rural location offers excellent walking opportunities along Hadrian's Wall Path.

Bush Nook House Reviews

Shelley
We did enjoy our stay at Bush Nook. Overall the house is very nice and in a great location, but there were a few things that we were disappointed about 1 The iron did not work. The light comes on but it does not heat up. This was an issue because we had an event on Saturday evening and we needed to press some clothes 2 The NEXT kettle has a loose lid. This fell off when one of our party was making a pot of tea and she was splashed with boiling water 3 It took us 3 days to find that the WiFi, along with the rest of the sockets in the dining area, is controlled by an unlabelled switch in the next room. Without internet access we were unable to do all the activities we had planned
Jeanette
Lovely and spacious, all you need for entertaining and a great location. Floors could have benefited from a deeper clean especially with a child who is crawling. The single room downstairs had no mirror and neither did the bathroom but other than that couldnt fault it.
