We had a great time exploring Hadrian's Wall from this cottage. The wall is near enough to walk to. We made use of the AD122 bus which stops at many places along the wall. The cottage was very comfortable; a good place to recover between walks and rain showers.

The accommodation was adequate. However, there was a vicious dog living on the site which attacked our dog resulting in him needing medical attention when we got home.

Susan and Dave were very kind and helpful which was a blessing for us during the heavy snowstorm. We couldn't have asked for better hosts. However, we were disappointed with the facilities (lack of enough toilet rolls, bin liners, proper kitchen set) and the general setting of the property.
