Coldburn Cottage Reviews

Debbie
A wonderful week at this remote cottage. Peaceful and so pretty, Beds were super comfy, kitchen well stocked with equipment and lovely and clean. The open fire was marvellous and we loved watching the different birds in the cottage garden. We were kept well informed when the weather worsened and Ros rang to check that we had located the torches and were okay just before the power went off for a short while! Spectacular views from every window and so good to be away from city noise. However Coldburn was just a bit too remote for us and we were glad that we arrived in daylight as the road/track is long and narrow.
Louise
We had a fabulous time, a perfect cottage with everything you would need.
Rosie
Beautiful place to escape the world. Warm cosy and peaceful. Perfect!
Louise
We absolutely loved Coldburn and have already booked again. The cottage is wonderfully remote with lots of walking in every direction. We loved watching the birds in the garden. The cottage was well equipped and very warm and cosy. Can't wait to return.
Chris
Wonderful opportunity to stay in the spectacular College Valley. Cottage is warm and cozy when returning from walking on the hills. Being able to walk from the cottage is a major benefit and not having to drive makes for the perfect break. Cottage is very well equiped and we wanted for nothing during our stay.
Andrew
Coldburn cottage is quaint and in the most idillic location. The wrap around garden is fully enclosed and was perfect for our two German Shepherdâ??s. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and the views are beautiful. It was chilly a couple of eveningâ??s but we had an endless supply of logs and coal. This is a very remote location so we made the most of the walks within the park. We would most definitely return as it ticked every single box as one of our most relaxing holidays. We saw buzzards, deer, a slow worm, a hare, and even a lizard!! This place is ideal for families or even a romantic getaway! Your dogs will love it!
Denise
Absolutely perfect from comfort to cleanliness and the location is to die for. A perfect stress free holiday.
Karen
We can not recommend Coldburn cottage enough. Absolutely stunning property and location. No body was ready to go home. Amazing break enjoyed by all.
Cath
Fabulous stay in a lovely snug cottage. Large walled garden was great for the greyhounds and there was plenty of space. The electricity board was doing some work in the valley so all the properties were being run off generators and although there was a noise outside you couldnâ??t hear it inside the house. It was still the most peaceful place in the world. The view of the hills from the large kitchen window was outstanding and it was great to just sit and watch the hills, the wildlife and the weather. Would definitely come again
Darren
Outstanding property, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Breath-taking views. The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay in a very remote location, very well equipped.
Linda
Wow- what an absolutely amazing place. I canâ??t rate this highly enough and no amount of photos will ever do it justice. Very secluded. Idilic location and view over the snow capped hills. Lots of wildlife seen from the cottage. The beds are unbelievably comfortable! Kitchen really well stocked with pots/ pans etc for both cooking and baking. Lots of outside space for the dogs to run around securely in and out house where they could dry off and get cleaned before coming back in the house. Lots of logs and coal. (Sorry we used a lot as we just relaxed and made the most of the cottage). So glad I found this cottage. Itâ??s a must.
