It overlooks a 1,800-acre working sheep farm with panoramic views across the Ingram Valley and the Cheviot Hills. This is a proper rural hideaway remote, quiet and genuinely off the beaten track. There is no hot tub here but there is a fire pit outside.
The landscape is wild and unspoiled. Red squirrels live here. You might spot an otter in the River Breamish or hear curlews in spring. The Pennine Way is just 2 miles away. Linhope Spout waterfall 18 metres of falling water is a 4-mile walk from the door. This is a designated Dark Sky Discovery Site so the night skies are extraordinary.

Sleeps 2. One first-floor king-size bedroom with vaulted ceiling beams and far-reaching views. Ground floor has a lounge with wood burner on a stone hearth plus a compact kitchen and shower room with WC.
Ingram village is 4 miles away with a family-run café and farm shop. Wooler is 8 miles away with independent shops and pubs. Two outdoor chairs face the fire pit perfect for stargazing.
Cuckoo Cottage suits walkers, mountain bikers and anyone wanting real countryside silence. Two dogs welcome.

To reach Cuckoo Cottage by car, head towards Powburn in Northumberland and follow signs towards Ingram. There is a dirt road leading up to the property so be prepared for a rural approach. Onsite parking is available on arrival.
The nearest railway station is Alnmouth, approximately 16 miles from the cottage. From there you will need to arrange a taxi or hire a car as public transport links to this remote area are limited.
