The property was as described and, being only a few hundred metres from the A1, was an ideal base for exploring the area. It was generally very comfortable, although the duvets were extremely heavy and almost impossible to sleep under in an English summer. On the last full day of our booking there was an infestation of very small flies in one bedroom. The holiday cottage helpline provided no assistance or advice, but repeated hoovering reduced the numbers. Reply from HolidayCottages.co.uk: Thank you for your feedback. I can confirm these issues have been addressed with our management company and steps have been taken to resolve these issues.

It is ideally located to explore all Northumberland has to offer as well as the Scottish Borders.
