About Cuthbert Cottage

Cuthbert Cottage is a stone-built, cottage-style contemporary house sitting in the heart of Beadnell a working fishing village on the Northumberland Heritage Coast. The beach is just a 300-metre stroll away. It sleeps four and has been part of the collection since 2019. The parish church and mature trees form a peaceful backdrop.

Beadnell is the real deal. Fishermen still bring in wild salmon at the harbour. Two pubs and a fish and chip shop are within easy reach. The Northumberland Coast Path starts right here in the village. Water sports and sandcastle building on the sheltered beach make this a solid base for active breaks.

The cottage has two upstairs bedrooms one double and one twin both with wrought-iron period-style beds in soft tones. There is one upstairs family bathroom with shower over bath plus a ground-floor WC. The living room has French doors opening to a walled courtyard garden with table and chairs. The kitchen seats four and has an oven, gas hob, dishwasher and washing machine.

Seahouses is 1.5 miles away boats to the Farne Islands depart from there. Bamburgh Castle is just 5 miles up the coast. The Grace Darling Museum is also in Bamburgh. Onsite parking is included.

The enclosed courtyard garden was a treat, and a great little sun trap. Lots of thoughtful touches, especially in the lower drawers in the kitchen - from spare dog bags through batteries to replacement light pull cords - they're all there! Cuthbert Cottage is a gem in the heart of Beadnell. We have stayed here more than once and love staying here. The accommodation has everything that you need to make your stay enjoyable. The cottage is very clean and the bedrooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. Plenty space to unpack and hang your clothes too. The cottage is very quiet even though it is right next door to another one. The cottage also benefits from a small courtyard area which is ideal for eating out or just sitting in the sun reading a book. We have one dog and this accommodation is a very easy place to bring your dog. It is a fantastic place to stay and can't wait to return.

Very clean and well equipped. Only two of us so plenty of room. Location unsurpassed: in the heart of the village, very quiet, just a stroll to the pubs/restaurants, cafes, and shop. Take a torch unless sunsets are late. On the bus route to Seahouses/Bamburgh/Craster. 5-10 minute walk to Beadnell Beach one way, and to a great swimming cove the other way (behind the shop). 12 minute easy cycle ride to Seahouses.

From stepping into the property, you could tell it was going to be a pleasant experience. The smell of fresh paint hit your nostrils, crossing the threshhold. Is was so clean and interior so well laid out. The use of space was excellent. Great too, having a downstairs loo. Shame the weather wasn't up to being able to utilise the (although quite small) enclosed outdoor patio area... It must be great in summer to chill, bbq & dine Al fresco. It has a brilliant postion in the village...being a 2 mins slow walk to the Craster Arms & Beadnell towers. 5, at m9st to the village shop..15/ 20 minute walk to the beach and the Landing ( lovely place to have breakfast, a cuppa, a beer/ wine or dine.
