Ebbe Retreat is a stylish ground-floor apartment inside a converted Georgian manor house on the edge of Beadnell a small coastal village in Northumberland. One of five apartments in the building, it sits within half an acre of manicured grounds. The open-plan lounge and dining room features high ceilings and wooden floors with a fireplace and plenty of natural light. This is a genuinely peaceful place to stay.

Beadnell has pubs, a café and a convenience store all within walking distance. The sandy beach is just 500 metres away. The coastal path connects directly to Alnmouth and the Northumberland Heritage Coastline. Seahouses is 2 miles north a working fishing town with boat trips to the Farne Islands.

The apartment sleeps 4 across two bedrooms a super-king sleigh bed and a comfortable double. There are two bathrooms: one with a bath, walk-in shower and WC; the other a shower room with walk-in shower and WC.

We spent a long time looking for a property with easy access for our disabled dog, also wanting to stay on the same floor as him during the night. Ebbe Retreat was perfect for this. Our first surprise was an excellent welcome pack, wine, crisps, tea bags, coffee for the cafetiere and long life milk. So thoughtful. It's a lovely apartment in a large Georgian house with allocated parking spaces in the garden. It's spacious and stylishly furnished. Very well equipped, stylishly furnished and a great view of the church. There's a pub next door, not seen or heard from the apartment, a hotel round the corner, a cafe/bistro opposite and a very modern cafe very close. It's in a lovely village and Beadnell is central for travel to other towns and villages. We would definitely return.

An excellent apartment positioned well for the Northumbrian Coast and well equipped. Comfortable bed in the main bedroom, cannot judge the other one. Lovely and warm without the need to light a fire though I know some people will want the real fire. It's in an ideal position in the village with four eating establishments within 75m walking distance. WIFI was good. All in all a very relaxing holiday which we would happily recommend.
