The Snook Reviews

Lucy
Beautifully presented cottage. Warm, cosy and comfy. Fluffy white towels, quality bed linen and a washing machine! While sitting having our morning coffee, a little stoat would visit the garden while the cows overlooked.
Ella
We enjoyed our stay, well equipped. Loved the quirky objects that dressed the rooms.
Susanna

Great cottage. Great location
Kristina
A lovely rural situated cottage ideal location for visiting all the area from Holy Island to Alnwick. Very spacious. Would recommend.
Valerie
Had a wonderful week at this quirky comfortable cottage. The garden is beautiful but a table and chairs would be good. You can see the main train line and trains passing but this wasnâ??t a problem. Once inside the cottage it is so quiet and peaceful. (Although there was a dog barking quite regularly) The location is perfect for visiting all the beaches and villages and a perfect place to stay when visiting Northumberland.
Vicky
We loved our stay at The Snook. Such a great open plan space, well designed - slightly quirky - very clean and with everything we needed. The kitchen - with its 2 ovens and sharp knives - was one of the best we've had when on holiday. The bed (in the king size room) was so, so comfy. And even though the train track isn't that far away, you can only just hear it in the day, and not at all at night. The outside area (with artificial grass) was spacious and while there are chairs, there's no table if that matters to you - but the inside space is light and airy so it may well not! It was quiet and peaceful and within easy reach of many of Northumberland's wonderful beaches. All in all, a great place to base yourself in this beautiful part of the country.
Eric
When we opened the front door to the Snook, we were amazed by the size of the property and the modern but homely fitting out and decor throughout ...real interior design flair! We enjoyed a very comfortable week in this lovely cottage.
Julie
Beautiful house! Really good quality appliances, very comfortable, lots of clear instructions, lovely garden, south facing, good quality bedding..I could go on! We really, really enjoyed the whole of our stay. Thank you!
Stephen
Great location , everything I needed . Couldnâ??t ask for much more .
Lin
Lovely cottage in a quiet location, Really enjoyed my stay here, especially looking at the stars through the huge rooflight - this was the highlight of my stay! Excellent and unique furnishings ! Thankyou for the welcome packs. Would definitely like to stay here again.
Matthew
We had a fantastic holiday the property is emaculate and very homely. It is perfect location wise in Northumberland giving you a central base to Alnwick, Seahouses and Bamburgh. The kitchen is well stocked with all utensils and pots etc provided with the wood burning stove which came with some starter logs and firefighters which provided a great back drop to evening meals. The cottage came with Wifi, Smart TV, washer/dryer, Ironing equipment, and hair dryers in each room with a well equipped cleaning cupboard. We were provided with a bathroom and kitchen amenity pack that was a great touch when arriving without the essentials. Beyond the garden overlooks farmers fields with plenty of cattle which we loved and we did not find too noisy during the day/night. Would highly recommend and we would most definitely rebook.
Philip
The cottage was as described, very clean and spacious with some quirky furniture. A good welcome pack and a folder with all the information you need. The odd friendly cow looking over the wall and really quiet at night and you can do a bit of star gazing through the glass roof. All in all a very pleasant stay and would certainly stay again.
John
Not a bad place to stay if you do not mind the constant barking from the neighbours dogs or the drilling from the builders in the attached property. Disappointed that we were not advised about the building works.
Sandra
A lovely cottage in a peaceful rural area. No shops nearby. Furnishings of a high standard and rather quirky in the bedrooms. Sewing machines and post boxes as bedside tables. There are hairdryers in both bedrooms even though itâ??s not mentioned in the facilities. Bedroom 1 had a kingsize bed with memory foam mattress and second bedroom has a normal double bed. High quality appliances in the kitchen and huge tv in the lounge. Unfortunately, no table or chairs for meals in the garden.
