Pinfold Retreat Alnmouth Reviews

Suzi
Beautiful cosy cottage in a perfect central location. The parking is tight and it's better to reverse into the lane.
Wendy
Lovely clean cottage with all the equipment we needed for 2 people and one small dog. Excellent location for the amenities in the village and surrounding area
Judith
Superficially the cottage is clean but skirting boards were very dusty and there were thick cobwebs at the side of the wardrobe. Not very nice.
Stuart
Lovely well equipped cottage in an ideal location
Fran
Location is the biggest bonus of this cottage as you can just step out to the high street but it is very quiet. Well equipped. Single beds in second room were narrow though so would suit a family rather than 4 adults. A flooring deep clean in bedrooms and bathrooms needed and fan and cord in en-suite need replacing/fixing. Owner informed of this.
Geoffrey
Spacious well equipped cottage in a quiet yet very convenient location for all amenities
Carol
We had a lovely stay at The Pinfold Retreat. The cottage was nicely done out, clean, well equipped and in an excellent location for the beach (probably less than 5 minutes walk away), places to eat, and the excellent Puffin Stores/Post Office.
Joice
Lovely cottage ideally situated. Clean and well equipped. As others have mentioned use of the cooker a bit challenging. Parking not easy if you have a medium/large car.
Michael
This is our 4th time here. We find it convenient for the hotels and pubs for eating out during the day or evening, Also good to wander around Alnmouth or walk down to the beach without taking the car. No garden for the dogs although a wonderful beach. Cottage clean tidy and warm. Well equipped, although we always have trouble working out how to use the oven on the only occasion we ate in. Alnmouth totally dog friendly. Our dog now thinks of this as her second home. We find it best to reverse down the Pinfold and park outside the cottage.
Barbara
Cozy cottage, excellent location,a few minor concerns re equipment, but didn't affect our stay.Welcome pack a luvly thought! We would stay there again!
Andrew
Good central location, compact, clean and comfortable, and well equipped.
Michael
Very much improved property since the lounge/dining area has been refurnished. Very central location for all the dog friendly Alnmouth eateries. No garden but easy walking distance to the beach for dog walking. Plenty of room for 2 adults but may be a bit cramped (cosy) with 4 adults. Very well equipped kitchen although we ate out most nights.
William
Excellent location with parking. Extremely comfortable. Have stayed previously and wouldnâ??t hesitate to again.
Roy
Fabulous cottage with parking- what a bonus! Well equipped, lovely linen and very cosy and comfortable. Location was an absolute winner, ideal for exploring Northumberlandâ??s stunning coastline. A few minutes walk to pubs and lovely places to eat.
Mike
Great situation in Alnmouth. Cottage clean and well equipped generally. Much improved fro our last visit. It is down a very narrow passage and has no back yard or small garden so only one door at the front. Can park outside but at least a five or six point turn required even for a small car. Very pet friendly inside with lots of stuff for visiting dogs which is great but if they need to go it always has to be a walk to find any grassy area.
Jean
Excellent cottage well equipped beautiful location, great bed so comfortable nothing to dislike about it ,will book again.
Mark
View from all windows is a stone wall. Furniture in lounge is cheap and not at all comfortable for any length of time. Paying £250 per night I expected much better. Not particularly dog friendly as there is no enclosed outdoor space. Parking is horrendous. Building work going on next door early morning. Very central location with easy access to everything Alnmouth has to offer.
Adele
Ideal location, close to Alnwick and other popular attractions. Cottage is well equipped and clean. Parking permit provided. Beautiful beach and golf course.
Andrew
Excellent accommodation in superb location.
Michael
Lovely cottage, centrally positioned in the heart of Alnmouth. Easy walk to all of Alnmouth`s dog friendly facilities. Best to reverse down the Pinfold and park outside the cottage. Dog owners be aware there is NO garden but the beach is not far away.
Andrew
Alnmouth is a lovely village , and this small and generally well equipped cottage is in the heart of the village . Better for winter than summer , when the lack of outlook would be a disadvantage. Good hosts.
Jane
This cottage works well for 2 persons but not 4, but is in a great location.
Andrew
This is an excellent cottage, well equipped and cosy for winter. Have stayed in Alnmouth many times, including two neighbouring properties and this one compares favourably all round. We had one small issue which was resolved swiftly. Cannot find fault. I would highly recommend.
