Seal Cottage Reviews

Paul
A very pleasant albeit small holiday cottage. Well situated in a lovely coastal village.
Victoria
This is our second stay at Seal Cottage the bungalow is lovely. An ideal location being a short walk away from the beach and pub. Very close to Seahouses and Bamburgh. We will definitely be returning and I would definitely recommend the cottage for anyone visiting the area.
Donald
Seal Cottage was superb. Very clean and tidy and very easy to heat when returning from our numerous walks. Everything we needed was provided. There was even a welcome pack, when we arrived. What a kind gesture, from the owner. We will certainly return to Seal Cottage in the near future. Beadnell is certainly worth a visit, The beach from Beadnell to Seahouses is well worth the walk. I would recommend the Ocean Club and the Bamburgh Castle Hotel for good wholesome food.
Diane
The cottage was small for the asking cost. Fortunately we are small in stature and managed the cramped bedroom and bathroom space. No clean bed linen or towels were provided for the second week of the holiday and we found this disappointing after experiencing this service with other properties from 'holidaycttages.co.uk'
Gareth
Well equipped property, near beach, specific parking for one car.
Diane
Nice little place for a short stay.
Christine
We had an enjoyable week in the cottage
Shelley
The cottage is in a beautiful location with stunning beaches on your doorstep. It's close to the handful of lovely places to eat. The bed was comfy, the sofa too. Freeview TV, fridge freezer, washing machine, iron, electric fan and hairdryer all available to use. There is a local store, but it's quite expensive and only one nearby Co-op in Seahouses. Would recommend for the sheer relaxation and peaceful area. The cottage is more than welcome hoped for. Designated parking was close and we never struggled to access. We have a list of things to do on our next visit to the area.
Paul
I really enjoyed my stay and I would like to return again next year.
Michael
The cottage was very clean quiet and everything we needed for a relaxing break the bed wasnâ??t the most comfortable ended up coming home a night early due to my back pain ( may not be the cause but started while I was there and got better when I got home) it was well equipped ideal for dog owners with the field near by and beach only 5mins walk away
Andrew
A very comfortable bed, well maintainted clean cottage, plenty of room. Close to beach and local attractions. Dog loved it. Would go back again.
Michael
The cottage is located within 200 yards of the main beaches and is perfect if you are a dog owner. Everything in the property was good quality and tastefully modernised. The outside area was ideal for sitting in the sunshine or confining your dog with lots of grassed areas just outside the property boundary. We really enjoyed our stay which was comfortable and cosy and will definitely be coming again.
Julie
The accommodation was excellent clean well equipped and in a lovely location near the beach
Malcolm
Nice clean cottage. Poor Access along a 100yd paving slab path with uneven slabs and raised man hole cover. Elderly may find settee low and difficult to get up from. Overall well equipped and a good welcome pack.
Barbara
The cottage is cosy and the right size for two. It was clean and well maintained. It is within easy walking distance of the beach which is excellent for dog walking. Plenty of places to visit in area and some fabulous nearly empty beaches. There are lots of places to eat in the village and nearby Seahouses.
Tracy
We loved our stay at Seal cottage. The property was very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. There was a lovely welcome basket of treats and a pint of milk in the fridge. The property was a short walk to the beach and was in a lovely quiet area.
Ann
Lovely cosy cottage, had everything we needed for a very enjoyable week. The welcome pack was very much appreciated, thank you. Only negative was it was slightly dark in the sitting area without the lights on but it didn't spoil our holiday.
Kevin
Overall it is a good location and was adequate for two nights stay. Unfortunately, the property is very tired and could do with a refresh or sort New bedding pillows and duvet as these have all seen better days. The outside patio area needs to be jet washed as this was extremely slippy when wet and difficult to walk on and I would consider this to be health and safety risk. I have stated other properties on this estate which are much better value for money and unfortunately this is not a property I would be staying in again.
Iain
The cottage is in a great location in Beadnell within walking distance of a superb beach. The parking is about 80 metres from the property in a car park and the numbering system is obscure to say the least. The instructions for finding the cottage were OK. The cottage is quite small, but well laid out and comfortable.
Christine
A great place to stay. Very close to some great places to visit.
Mike
Lovely cottage in excellent location. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Welcome pack was a lovely touch.
Morag
Lovely cottage. It was spotless very comfortable and very well located for both the village, beach and harbour area. Thank you also for the welcome pack much appreciated.
Samantha
Lovely little cottage welcome pack was a lovely touch would stay there again
Christine
I found the living room very dull just not enough daylight but it canâ??t be fixed
George
Excellent setting, comfortable, dog friendly base for a beach stay.
Martyn
Not for us to small and dated , felt like we were staying At grandmas house
Dominic
Good location - simple good value accommodation
Jacqueline
Cottage is in a good location for all facilities of Beadnell which we loved. Beach is lovely along with great food and coffee at the Landing. Caster Arms is also great for food with lovely garden and all dog friendly.
Tim
Lovely peaceful location, comfortable, cosy.ideal for pets.
Brian
The cottage was clean and tidy and in a good location for visiting all the beaches and other attractions and was dog friendly
David
Good, quiet location and very close to the beach. The town has several coffee shops and restaurants and there are historic sites and towns all within thirty minutes travel. The cottage is attached to several others and we found noise an issue from more than one of them.
Helen
The property is comfortable and well kept. I would class it as cosy, the heating provided is more than adequate to keep it toasty, we visited between Christmas and new year and although it was cold outside it was lovely inside. The bedroom is small but again adequate. My husband, myself and our dog enjoyed our stay. Itâ??s in walking distance to the beach and 3 different eateries. For the space I felt it was quite expensive however I donâ??t know if that is the going rate for the area. There is everything you need in the kitchen to cook for yourselves and a small welcome pack of eggs, milk and some bread rolls was a pleasant surprise.
