Bolams Lodge Reviews

Barrie
Nice quiet location within reach of good beaches and attractions.
Andrew
The cottage is a short way down a track and close to the A1, but the traffic noise is not an issue . Parking is a bit tight but again itâ??s not an issue if youâ??re careful. The cottage is well equipped and has everything that you need for a comfortable stay, we didnâ??t light the log burning fire as we had really good weather. To the north, Berwick is a short drive away and south there is Lindersfarne Bamburgh Castle a little further south there is Seahouses and the Farne Islands. Plenty to see and do locally.
Geraint
Adequate and comfortable
Linda Ann
Cottage was spacious and roomy but still retained it's cosiness. Perfect location close, but not too close to the A1. Lovely views including visiting deer. Beautiful dark skies We even saw the Northern lights
Elisabeth
Lovely cottage. Ideal for visiting coastline.
Martin
Comfortable cottage with large secluded garden. Good heating and hot water. Excellent location for touring the area.
Barrie
Nice quiet county location. Easy access to holy island Berwick and Bamburgh. Needs care on entering or exiting ont busy A1
Zoe
We really enjoyed our holiday and staying in Bolam's Lodge. Although it is very close to the A1 the noise of the traffic was not overly intrusive and it does make it very easy to travel to different locations in the area. The views across the fields were lovely and the garden was a delight with rabbits regular visitors. The cottage itself is very homely and comfortable and well equipped. Our only very slight criticisms are, we felt it needed a little TLC in some areas, and a welcome pack after a long journey would have much appreciated. However, overall our experience of staying here was very enjoyable.
