Under The Stars Reviews

Karen
Beautiful place to stay, highly recommend to anyone. Excellent for anyone with disabled or elderly friends or relatives. Couldnâ??t have asked for a better place to stay for our first visit to Northumberland. Would definitely stay there again.
Rita
Under the Stars was perfect; one of the best holiday homes we have stayed in being very clean and comfortable. So quiet and peaceful and a great location for visiting National Trust and English Heritage properties. The night skies were beautiful and seeing the hares in the field from our bedroom windows was magical. Our grandson loved visiting the children's play park at the end of the day. We cannot recommend this property highly enough and would love to stay there again in the future.
Darren
Wonderful cottage, great location, very quiet and peaceful, pub and village store within 2 mins walk, Bamburgh Castle only 20 mins away, Seahouses with its large gift shop, we tried Lewis restaurant for fish and chips they were excellent, Wooler village only 15mins away with plenty of small shops, we visited Alnwick Gardens and Castle and drove up to Berwick on tweed, this was our first visit to Northumberland and we enjoyed the stay it just went to quick!
Victoria
We had an amazing week in Northumberland - the cottage is so spacious and beautifully decorated and designed. The bedrooms are large and have plenty of room for storage, the bathrooms were clean and had great showers, and the downstairs area is huge - plenty of room for kids to play as well as sitting and dining areas. There are some toys/games for children and the outdoor space is safe and enclosed. The kitchen is very well equipped with all the basics like oil, salt and pepper etc which is so useful. There is a great village playpark a 5 minute walk away which is brand new and good for all ages. I would highly recommend Under the Stars to anyone wanting a peaceful stay but within easy reach of Alnwick, Bamburgh, Berwick for exploring the area.
David
Spacious accommodation throughout and very clean & tidy. The location is good for travel to many of the coastal towns / villages in the area. Chatton is a very quiet & peaceful village.
Geraldine
Beautiful property in a fantastic location. Loved everything about this holiday, the property was spotless and had everything and more that we required. It is tastefully decorated to a really high standard and no expense has been spared, someone is clearly very talented with interior design and hand made decorations dotted around. My mum who loves to sew was in awe at the appliqué! Such a peaceful location with a lovely pub just a couple of minutes walk down the road. We were very lucky with the weather and managed to sit outside and enjoy the colourful garden. So many beautiful attractions to visit and I would not hesitate to come here again. This has been our favourite holiday home we have stayed in, and the hamper was a lovely surprise especially as me and my mum were celebrating our birthdays here x Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us x
Peter Michael

Kevin
This cottage is immaculately kept, fantastic location, good facilities and really well dressed. The welcome pack was a great addition also. Would highly recommend to families and would certainly return if we holiday again in this location.
Rodney
Lovely welcoming cottage, ideal for a multi generational holiday. Spotlessly clean with a high standard of fixtures and fittings. Perfectly situated between the coast and hills. Well named as the stars in the Black Skies were awesome.
Sue
Well equipped and comfortable property.
Rodney
Very good equipment and a lovely home which was in a great location with lovely views across the valley Close to a great pub and not far from the lovely coastal scenery.
Roger
The house was very welcoming and comfortable. We felt at home immediately and consider it to be one of the best if not the very best of a long line of holiday properties that we have rented over the years. It was ideally located for introducing our three generational family group to Northumberland. The village shop and community hall play area (with fantastic zip wire) are fantastic facilities that Chatton can offer to the holidaymaker. The Percy Arms (just around the corner) served excellent food.
William
Very comfortable and spacious property in an ideal village location midway between the beautiful Northumberland coast and the Cheviots.
Graham
A very clean and well laid out cottage. All the facilities required for a pleasant and enjoyable stay. In a quiet but accessible location near the main coastal resorts and attractions. Beautiful countryside and views from your doorstep. Very friendly and helpful neighbours. The perfect place for a relaxed and wonderful holiday.
Katharine
Beautiful modern property. Well equipped and clean. Comfortable beds. Lovely setting. Plenty to explore nearby.
Linda
Lovely comfortable cottage in a good location, Chatton is a nice quiet village with a small general store and pub. Wooler only few miles with shops and Milan, italian restaurant which is really good. Sunnyhills farm shop at Belford also very good and not far to Berwick and Spittal.
Nick
We loved our stay, it's a home away from home. Stunning inside and out, beautifully furnished and lovely welcome gift. We almost don't want to leave a review in the hope of keeping it quiet! We will definitely book again.
Lea
The cottage was very comfortable and lovely and warm. It was perfect for a family break, especially having a ground floor bedroom and bathroom for the less mobile. The single beds are a good size and suitable for adults. All the furnishings are very good quality and it's easy to relax. We would definitely stay here again. Chatton is a very peaceful little village with a pub that does good meals.
Rachel
This is a gorgeous cottage, beautifully done up and clearly loved. We really enjoyed our stay. Location was ideal to explore the beautiful coast and beaches and castles. The cottage was very well equipped with everything we needed. The beds were comfy, towels fluffy and everything spotlessly clean.
