Swallows Flight is a two-storey end-terrace cottage in Lucker, a peaceful hamlet on the edge of Bamburgh in Northumberland. Sleeping five guests across three bedrooms, it sits in rural countryside with far-reaching views and a wood burner in the lounge for cosy evenings in.

Lucker is quiet and unhurried. Bamburgh is four miles away and Seahouses six and a half miles. You can walk pristine sands near Bamburgh Castle, take boat trips from Seahouses harbour to the Farne Islands and spot grey seal colonies in summer. The Cheviots are reachable via quiet country roads for walking and mountain biking. There is also a dog-friendly village pub within a five-minute walk.

We used it as a base for walking the coastal part of St Oswalds Way, it was such a comfortable place to return to, it was perfect, we loved it.
